I have joined the millions on myspace but will probably continue blogging here. If you want to check myspace its at, http://www.myspace.com/57420572.
I am also excited to say I have officially sent in all my stuff for dts with ywam. It took me awhile but I did it. I'm very good at the procrastination thing. Now its in God's hands as to what my future holds... I'll let you all know what I hear.

Yesterday I got a phone call from my nephew Luke, wishing me a happy Mother's day.... Which is kind of funny since I have no children so obviously am not a mother.... Is that his way of telling me to get moving?

Today is a great day, why, because its my Birthday. I had a very enjoyable day with my family. My parents and I met up with my sister and her family in RedWing. We had a picnic and then climbed Barn Bluff for a beautiful view of the Mississippi. I'm now home and relaxing doing absolutely nothing, which one is supposed to do on their birthdays.
This weekend was a great weekend probably some of the most fun I have had in a long time, plus the weather was completely gorgeous so that helped! Friday I had friends over from church and we grilled out. Yes, I did the grilling and I would have to say it was much more enjoyable than the last grilling experience... (outreach at the hostel) those of you who were there, know exactly what I'm talking about.
The food was so good that it sparked great conversation about the purpose of blogs and myspace, which in turn, after people got back home, was the reason for them staying up so late searching for people from their former lives on myspace.... I however....was one of them....
Saturday we had the wonderful party of six dinner, afterwards led to some of us going to Tapestry for some swing dancing... Now let me just say I have never been swing dancing, so this was a whole new experience. Luckily Brad was there, and he is pretty much a professional compared to me, as was everyone out on the floor, so he showed me some moves and then let me loose. My confidence level was shot down when another professional told me I was doing my turns all wrong, basically I was pivoting instead of smoothly taking steps... Then one of my shoes fell off, that would be because I was wearing flip flops and was told by yet another pro. that I'm not supposed to wear sandals dancing. Maybe if I had known before hand about dancing I would have wore different shoes... Anyway we had some good laughs over my ability to spin in the opposite direction than what I was supposed on certain moves, and also bumping into other peole and me stepping on their feet...oops. But by the end of the night I was a professional as well.... or one step closer than the beginning of the evening.

Adventures with a new camera

Just before leaving for my trip I had to buy a new camera since my old digital broke for the second time, so I figured I was better off getting a new one. After much research and contemplation as to what features I would like to have, I made my decision. Since I bought the camera the evening before I left, I didn't' have much of a chance to try things out on it or figure out how everything worked. Luckily while at the Vatican museum our tour guide did much more talking than my attention span could handle so that gave me a chance to play around with some of the features, and get pictures of mostly random people...

I wasn't the only one getting getting board.

"Karate Kid" need I say more....

on this trip I had a thing for windows, don't ask me why, but I ended up with quite a few pictures of them.

these poor people have no idea that I caught them at their best moments.

He has my vote

this lady had no idea this horse was going to attack her head...

What fun I had on my adventures with my camera!

Here I am back once again to everyday life after a wonderful vacation. Italy was wonderful the food was wonderful, I think I may have to move to Tuscany, have an olive grove and eat pasta day in and day out and live happily ever after. Or live in Rome and do as the Romans do, what is it that they do anyway?? Although Switzerland looked very enticing as well, at least it did from the window of the bus as we drove through. Definitely have to go back and spend some time there.... Cecilia.....
My cousin's daughter, Kaili who is 4 fell in love with a little boy named Nathan. She told everyone of her new love along with everything they have in common; they both like to color, eat macaroni and cheese and play in the sand... If only love was really that easy. I had to question my cousin as to how many coins he let her throw into the Trevi fountain. one coin is to return to Rome, two coins are to fall in love. Supposedly she only threw one in, I guess my second one went to her... ;)

So where to next? A climb to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro.... that actually is going to have to wait for another year or two, for now I'm focusing my attention elsewhere... ywam. I'm trying to finish up a few last details on my application so I can get that sent off, and hopefully plan on going to Scotland for a while to attend dts in September.
